Sunglasses for Your Face Shape Aug 11th 2011, 10:00 When shopping for sunglasses, don't just pick the hottest style. Your perfect shades also have to be the right shape for your face. Follow these basic guidelines to find the best sunglasses for your face shape. Wide cheeks give an overall circular appearance to the face. Go with the opposite shaped sunglasses to balance out a round face - so pick square. A square-shaped face generally means that the width of your forehead is in line with the width of cheeks and jaw. To soften the lines of a square face, round or oval frames are your best bet. Gwyneth Paltrow and Niki Taylor are typical of these face types. Skip small sunglasses, which will make your face look even longer. Forget about sunglasses that sit tight against your cheeks or are too oversized. Cat-eyed frames are a hot choice or aviators with rounded upper corners.
